Our Care Home is a purpose built, family run Nursing Home situated in Shawsburn Village, on the outskirts of Larkhall.

We are registered with the Care Inspectorate. (Please go to our 'Useful Links' section and click on the Care Inspectorate link to see our latest Inspection Report).

‍Here at Larkhall, we provide Nursing care for people who experience a range of general problems associated with old age. This may be frail elderly people and/or people who experience forgetfulness and/or people who find it difficult to carry out activities of living unaided.

We also provide Nursing care to younger adults with mental health problems and physical or sensory impairment. Both long term and respite care including rolling respite are offered and can be pre-booked.

Our small and friendly home is designed to accommodate 26 Residents with ease of access and movement for wheelchair bound/disabled clients with a fully automated lift.

We have a range of single and double rooms with en suite shower rooms available, two parker baths with Jacuzzi and hydrotherapy unit and wet room shower.  All our bedrooms are furnished with a bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside cabinet and TV,  with a nurse call system.

However, we actively encourage Residents to personalise their room by bringing in their own furnishings, pictures and family photographs, making it a real 'hame fae hame'.

In addition to our bedrooms the home has two lounges situated on the ground floor: our small quiet lounge which is available and greatly appreciated by visiting relatives and the larger lounge that is the real 'hub' of our home with its bright sunny, welcoming atmosphere and ample space, which makes it ideal for concerts and other social gatherings.

Residents who smoke also have access to a designated smoking room and outdoor smoking area.
