Fees & Funding...

All residents will have a Financial Assessment carried out as part of their 'Care/Need Assessment' by their Social Worker in their Local Authority.
*This is not always possible for emergency respite/interim admissions or required for Self Funders.

Once Care/Dependency Need has been established by your Social Worker and funding approved by your Local Authority you will be asked to look at 3 Nursing Homes.

Your Funding is split into Two Categories:

Free Personal and Nursing Care...
If you have capital and assets over £28500, you will need to pay more towards your accommodation costs.

The Private weekly rate varies from each Nursing Home.
*You will need to speak with our home manager Carol Nisbet to discuss.

Residents in this category who are over 65 years, may qualify for the Scottish Government’s Free Personal & Nursing Care’ funding which is reviewed annually and subject to change. This is currently set at £261 per week (2020/21)

Private Rates are reviewed annually.

OR

Council Funding...
If you have capital or assets less than £28500, the 'placing local authority' will contribute more towards your accommodation. You will not pay more than the basic weekly Nursing Care Rate.

The Basic Nursing Rate from 1st December 2021 - 31March 2022 is £782.20 per week.

Self Funders who do not require Social Work involvement/access to funding, are responsible to pay the cost of their nursing care in full.

Terms and Conditions of payment are enclosed in the Residency Agreement.

Fees are payable via BACS by yourself or Acting Power of Attorney (POA) or Guardian.
